Man Questioned Over PSNI Killing
It has just been revealed that PSNI detectives investigating the murder of a police officer in the North by dissident republicans earlier this year have made an arrest.
The man was detained in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.
The investigation follows the death of 48-year-old Constable Stephen Carroll (pictured) who was killed by the Continuity IRA in March this year.
He was attending a call-out to a housing estate in Craigavon, which it is believed was a set-up to lure the officer and colleagues to the fatal ambush.
Today, the 22-year-old suspect was detained and then taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim Police Station for questioning.
Three people have already been charged in connection with the murder.
