'Burnt' Body Find Leads To Court

Three people have been in court after the body of 30-year-old Rebecca French was discovered in the boot of a burnt out car in Ballindinas on Friday evening.

Ricardas Dilys, 27, with an address at Davitt Road South in Wexford town, and Ruslanas Mineikis, 25, also with an address in Wexford town, and originally from Lithuania, appeared alongside 26-year-old Piotr Pasiak, originally from Poland, but with an address in Lower John Street in Wexford.

Following the discovery Gardai in Wexford investigating the incident originally arrested six people, including four males and two females.

However, the remaining individuals have since been released.

The emergency services were called after the car was spotted on fire at Ballindinas, Barntown at around 4.30pm.

The fire services put out the fire and subsequently discovered the body in the boot.

The scene remains preserved for technical examination and the services of the State Pathologist were called in by officers.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a blue Opel Corsa bearing the partial registration 98D in and around the Glenville Rd and Ballindinas Roundabout areas which is on the Enniscorthy side of Wexford town or around the Wexford town area since Friday.

Gardai have seized herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Wexford. It is estimated to have a street value of €45,000. A number of plants were found during the search of a property in Lee Heights on Thursday. No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.

A motorcyclist has died in a road traffic collision on the N11, between Enniscorthy and Wexford town. Garda have launched an investigation after a man, aged in his 40s, died when his motorcycle collided with a car on Thursday afternoon.

Gardaí Appeal For Missing Man
Gardaí are appealing for help to trace the whereabouts of 49-year-old P.J. Murphy. P.J. was last seen at approximately 6pm on Wednesday, 7 October, when he left his home in Wexford town. He is described as approximately 6ft tall, of slim build with black hair and blue eyes.

Pensioner Dies In House Fire
A man, 74, has died in a house fire in Rathcormac, County Cork. It is unclear how the fire began, however gardai say they are not treating it as suspicious. Fire crews arrived at the scene after they were alerted at approximately 7.45pm on Sunday evening.
