Two Arrested In Organised Crime Probe
A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a firearm and ammunition in Dublin this morning.
According to Gardaí, at 9.30 this morning, one man in his early 30s was arrested and is currently detained in Coolock Garda station while a female in her mid 20s was also arrested and is currently detained in Raheny Garda station.
The arrests were made as part of an ongoing investigation into serious crime, with members of the Organised Crime Unit searching the house in Donaghmede, Dublin this morning.
A Gardaí spokesman said that in the course of the search three kilos of mixing agents was recovered.
In a follow up search of a car an Uzi machine gun and a quantity of ammunition was also found along with 10,000 ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of approximately €50,000 and other drug paraphernalia.
The Gardaí spokesman added that the searches were conducted as part of Organised Crime Units ongoing investigation into the activities of organised criminals operating in south city.

Customs Seize 120,000 Illegal Cigarettes
Cigarettes with an estimated retail value of €57,000 have been seized by customs officers at Cork Airport. Some 120,000 Marlboro cigarettes were discovered in 12 suitcases that had arrived on a flight from Wroclaw, Poland. Garda arrested two men, understood to be Polish nationals, in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.
