Teenage Girl Arrested Over Unexploded Device
A teenage girl is being held by Gardaí in connection with the discovery of an unexploded device in County Limerick.
Gardaí said they are investigating the discovery of what is believed to be an improvised explosive device at St Mary’s Park, Limerick city centre.
The device was discovered when uniform Gardaí stopped a female in her late teens at approximately 8.20pm last night.
The army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended the scene and made the device safe.
A Gardaí spokesman said enquiries are ongoing.
The woman was arrested and is currently being detained at Henry St. Garda Station under the Provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against The Act, 1939.
Meanwhile, a 31-year-old man is due in court after being remanded in custody in connection with an improvised explosive device attack on an estate agent's premises in County Kildare.
Trevor Owen, of Fenview Heights, Newbridge, Co Kildare, was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court tomorrow morning.

Explosive Device Made Safe In Dublin
An explosive device was made safe by the Army early on Tuesday morning in Dublin. A bomb disposal team arrived at Cushlawn Park, Tallaght, at 2.35am to deal with the object outside a private home. Local people were evacuated, and the scene was declared safe at 3.20am.

An investigation has been launched after army bomb disposal experts carried out a controlled explosion on a device in Co Carlow. The suspect explosive device was discovered in Kilmeaney on Thursday afternoon, 16 November. It has been described as a "complex viable improvised explosive device". The scene was declared safe at 6pm.
