Man Killed In Meath Road Crash
A man has been killed in a road crash in Co Meath last night.
The 36-year-old male was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with another car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant of the car, while the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were taken to Our Ladys of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda with minor injuries.
Gardai at Duleek are investigating the fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R152 at Bolies, Duleek, shortly after 9pm last night.
The road was closed and examined by garda forensic collision investigators. The road has now reopened and the examination has completed.
Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses who may be able to assist them with their investigation to contact Duleek Garda Station 041 9823222, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
Meanwhile, also in Meath, the Main Sreet through Moate is currently down to one lane as fire services fight a large fire in the area.
According to AA Roadwatch, delays are expected through the town as a result and drivers are advised to take the M6 as an alternative for the morning.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of a fatal road traffic accident in Co Meath on Wednesday afternoon. A woman in her 20s was killed when the car she was driving collided with a truck at Moyleggan in Batterstown. The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was treated at Navan hospital.

The car, believed to be a Ford Focus, has not been found. Gardai believe the car would have been damaged at the front and the windscreen.
