Irish Singer Dies In Indian Car Crash
A Dublin woman has been killed in a car crash in India.
Beverley O'Sullivan, a singer and rising starlet who was in her 20s, died yesterday in a car crash in the Bharatpur area, about 50km from Agra.
She was a singer and performer with the Irish pop band, Fifth Avenue.
Beverley had been involved in the music industry for over ten years and received a number of awards and achievements including Gold and Platinum discs for her time with the number one selling band.
They had five top ten hits in Ireland, two top ten hits in Sweden and France.
According to her Myspace website, the band had toured with Westlife and performed along side international stars such as Lenny Kravitz, Shakira, Tina Arena, Blue and the Sugar Babes.
Beverley had also made a number of TV appearances on TV shows in interviews with the band on Ireland AM, The Den, as well as The Disney Channel in France and the the most popular show in Sweden, Bingo Lotto.
She also presented a lunch radio show with Phil Cawly on Today FM.
The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Irish embassy in India is providing consular assistance to her family.
A man who was travelling with her at the time was injured in the crash.
India roads are known to be one of the most treacherous for drivers in the world.

Sinn Féin has hit out at the government over the homeless crisis in Ireland. Deputy Michael Colreavy, Sinn Féin TD for Sligo/North Leitrim, said the government cannot just put a "band aid" over the issue and is calling for a initiative to be introduced to attempt to fix the ongoing problem.

Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash
A man has been killed in a collision in Galway. The car crash happened at around 2.45am this morning on the Headford to Galway Road. The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
