Three Arrested Over Jeffery Hannnon Murder

Three men have today been arrested in connection with the murder of Limerick man Jeffery Hannon in 2007.

It was announced that as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder Gardai at Henry Street arrested three people this morning.

They are two men aged 21 and 22 years respectively and a 21 year old female.

They are being detained under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act at Henry Street and Roxboro Road Garda Stations.

To date a total of 19 people have been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.

Jeffrey Hannon (19) was found dead in an open green area in a housing estate at Galtee Drive near the Galvone industrial estate in Limerick on November 22, 2007.

A father of one, Mr Hannnon was found to have died from serious head injuries, which it is believed were inflicted with a heavy, sharp instrument.

Woman Released In Longford Murder Investigation
The woman being held by Gardaí in connection with the death of Sharon Coughlan, has been released without charge. Gardaí in Co Longford arrested three people yesterday. Two men, aged 19 and 28, were still in custody this morning. It is understood their period of detention has been extended.

Two Released in Darren McKeown Murder Investigation
The two people arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the murder of Darren McKeown in Drogheda, Co. Louth, have been released. It is understood that the man and the woman, both aged 19, were released on Tuesday night.

Three Men Arrested In Connection With Darren Cogan Murder
Three people are in custody in connection with the murder of Darren Cogan. Mr Cogan, 22, was shot dead in a bar on Tyrconnell Road, Inchicore, two years ago. A man entered the premises on his own and fired a number of shots. Mr Cogan was fatally shot and his pal, who he was drinking with at the time, was also injured in the attack.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Eight Arrested Over Slattery Murder
A Gardai search in Limerick has led to the arrest of eight people in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Lee Slattery in May of this year. Officers in Limerick investigating the young father's murder said they have this morning arrested eight people in the north and south areas of Limerick City as part of a search and arrest operation.
