Two Killed In Donegal Traffic Collision
Two men have been killed in a two vehicle collision in County Donegal.
Gardai in the Ballybofey area of County Donegal are investigating the fatal crah, which occurred at approximately 3.45pm yesterday on the main road between Lifford and Ballybofey, which is the N15, near the village of Killygordon.
Two cars were involved in the collision, with the driver and passenger in one of the vehicles – and the only occupants - were pronounced dead at the scene. Both men in their 20s.
The female and male occupants of the second car were taken to Letterkenny General Hospital, where they are currently being treated for their injuries.
The main road between Lifford and Ballybofey is currently closed, pending a full examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. and diversions are in place. The road will remain closed until tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, AA Roadwatch has reported this morning that the PSNI are dealing with a crash just north of the border on the A1. There are reports of up to 6km tailbacks on the A1 into Newry as a result of the incident.
Also this morning, further dsruption has been caused after a lorry reportedly jackknifed on the N69 Tralee to Limerick road between Glin and Loghill. Gardai are en route to the scene, and further delays are expected in the area.

A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Two Dead In Separate Collisions
Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

Another Deadly Road Collision Reported
There has been yet another fatal road accident. The gardaí in Co Cork are this afternoon investigating the circumstances of a deadly road traffic collision which occurred on the Main St, Macroom just after noon today. The police have reported that a female pedestrian involved in the incident was killed and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his 50s was seriously injured when his motorcycle hit a wall on the R448, near Waterford City, at about 17:15.
