Arrests Follow Dublin Armed Robbery

Three men have been detained in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Dublin last night.

During the arrests, Garda also recovered a firearm following what Gardai believe to have been an attempted robbery at a post office in Finglas village.

The incident happened at about 8.00am this morning. Local Gardai and Traffic Corp Gardai, responding to reports of the three man acting suspiciously at Ballygall Road, Finglas arrested the men near the scene.

Gardai have recovered what they believe to be a firearm, they also recovered gloves, masks and boilersuits. The area is preserved for forensic technical examination

The three men, all in their 20s, are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against at Finglas Garda Station.

Gardaí Drug Bust Scoops €5m
A Gardaí operation in Dublin has turned up a major drug find resulting in arrests and the seizure of a heroin stash worth almost €5 million. According to a Gardaí spokesman, an ongoing operation targeting illegal drug activity in the South Dublin area led officers from the National Support Services to stop a van in the Templeogue area.

Three Men Arrested In Connection With Metal Theft
Three men have been arrested in connection with the theft of metal from premises on St John's Street, Ardee, on Wednesday. Gardai recovered the metal after stopping and searching a van, after the incident was reported. The men, aged 17,20 and 21 have been detained under the provisions of section 4of the Criminal Justice Act.

Man Arrested In Connection With Deaths Of Elderly Brothers
A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the bodies of two elderly brothers at their home in Castlebar on Wednesday. A home-help for the brothers alerted gardai at around 07:00 after she arrived at their home and found their bodies.

Dublin Teenager Found 'Safe And Well'
A teenager who went missing from Dublin has been found "safe and well". Sean Costello, 15, went missing from Ballymun just after midnight on Sunday, 31 July. Gardai launched an appeal as they were concerned for his welfare. However, they have confirmed he has been found "safe and well". Gardai also thanked the public for their assistance.

Missing Teenager From England Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing teenager from England has been found "safe and well", according to Gardai. Ricky Wall, 15, originally from Crumlin, had been missing from Suffolk from 11 April. However, Gardai said today, 04 May, they had located Ricky. Gardai also thanked the public for their existence.
