Two Die In Weekend Crashes
Two people have died in separate crashes during the weekend.
In the most recent incident, a 26-year-old man died after the car in which he was the sole occupant collided with a concrete post.
Gardai in Foxford in Co. Mayo are investigating the fatal road traffic collision which occurred at belgarrow, Foxford, County Mayo shortly after 1.00am this morning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any information is asked to contact Foxford Garda station on 094-9256102.
In a separate incident in County Kildare, a woman died in a single-vehicle crash in the Naas area yesterday evening.
The 50-year-old woman was killed when the car she was driving hit a fence at Derryvogue, Naas. She was the only occupant of the car. Her body was removed to Naas General Hospital.
The road is currently closed pending an examination by Garda forensic collision Investigators.

Woman, 82, Dies In Road Accident
An 82-year-old woman has died following a road accident in Donegal. The crash occurred at around 3.50pm on Monday (18 August) at The Ross in Bundoran. Gardaí have said a car collided with a fence in the incident. The woman was transferred to Sligo Hospital but later died from her injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.

Two people died in separate car crashed on Sunday in Co Clare and Co Galway. A woman in her 20s died in a single-car crash near Ennis, Co Clare, shortly before 4pm when her vehicle struck a barrier. She was travelling with another woman near Ballylion, Barefield, when the incident took place on the northbound lane of the M18.

6 Deaths In Just 24 Hours
Six people have died in road crashes in the past 24 hours in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Cavan. A 21-year-old man died after the car in which he was a passenger left the road and crashed into a tree at Hartstown Road, Hartstown, in Dublin, in the early hours of Monday morning.
