Arrests Follow Limerick Death
Gardaí are questioning five people following the fatal shooting of a man in Co Limerick on Tuesday night,
The 25-year-old was shot dead on the main Tipperary Road outside Limerick city around 9.30pm.
It is understood that the man was shot several times. He was taken to Mid-Western Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
Four people - three women and a man - were arrested in a follow-up operation after the shooting, during which a house close to the scene was searched.
A second man was arrested on Wednesday afternoon.
Two of those arrested are being held at Roxboro Garda Station, while another two are being questioned at Henry Street Garda Station.
The scene of the shooting has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.

There has been an arrest this morning after a bread delivery man was shot dead at a petrol station on the Ennis Road in Limerick. A 29-year-old man has been held in connection with the murder of the delivery man - believed to have been in his 30s.

Shots Fired At House In Limerick City
Gardaí in Limerick have arrested two men in connection with a shooting in the city. It is understood that shots were fired at a house in the New Road area at about 20:00 on Tuesday night. A 22-year-old woman and two teenage boys who were in the house at the time, escaped without injury.

Man Injured In Limerick Shooting
Gardaí in Limerick have reported that a 26-year-old man has been injured in a shooting in the city. According to reports the shooting took place at around 21:30 on Thursday night at Byrne Avenue in Prospect. The man is being treated at University Hospital Limerick for gunshot wounds to the stomach.
