Body Recovered From Dublin Canal
The body of a missing man, who had disappeared after a party, has been recovered from a canal in Dublin.
Damian O'Brien, 37, who had been living in Phibsborough, Dublin, disappeared on November 27 after attending a party at a friend's house.
A two-week search ensued after Mr O'Brien failed to return to work at Failte Ireland.
Friends and family of had been involved in a huge search for the man who was originally from Clonakilty in Co Cork.
The discovery occurred when a garda involved in the search spotted the body close to Baggot Street Bridge while walking along the banks of the Grand Canal in Dublin around lunchtime yesterday.
A post-mortem examination due to be carried out on the body this morning is expected to reveal Mr O'Brien drowned.
The discovery follows two other finds in the State all within 24 hours.
Last night the body of the woman, who is said to be in her early 20s, was discovered on the floor of an upstairs apartment near a pub in the village of Ballykeeran.
Gardaí in Athlone are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and are carrying out what are described as routine inquiries.
It is expected a post mortem will be conducted on the woman's body this morning.
Shortly before that find, a man's body was recovered following a fire at a caravan in Limerick.
The fire, which occured at the rear of a house in Crecora Avenue, Ballinacurra, Weston in Limerick, was discovered last night at about 8 pm.
Gardaí said the body of a man - believed to be in his 50s - was taken from the scene.
There were no other injuries as a result of the fire. Gardaí are not treating the incident as suspicious.

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Galway City. It is understood that the man's body was found by his flatmate on Monday. According to reports, the dead man is believed to be a 23-year-old from Tullamore in Co Offaly who was studying in Galway City.

Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Investigation Launched After Body Found In Carlow
The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.
