Man Killed In Clare Crash
A man has died after a road crash in Clare.
Gardai at Ennis are investigating the single vehicle road collision which occurred at Toormore, Ennis, Co Clare at approximately 10pm last night.
A 30-year-old male driver and the only occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to the Midwestern Regional Hospital, Limerick, where a post mortem will take place later today.
The scene of the collision at Toormore is currently closed pending a full examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The road is expected to re-open later this morning.
Meanwhile, Gardai in Ballymote are investigating a separate fatal road traffic collision involving two cars, which occurred on the N4 on the Sligo side of Castlebaldwin in the townland of Ardloy, Co Sligo shortly after 12pm in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The driver and only occupant of one of the vehicles, a female in her mid 40s, was taken to Sligo General where she was later pronounced dead.
The female driver and her three month old baby boy passenger in the other car were also taken to Sligo General. Their condition is not believed to be serious.
The road was closed pending a Forensic Collision examination and was re-opened at 6.30pm yesterday.

Pensioner Dies In Sligo Collision
A pensioner has died in a car crash in County Sligo. The collision, which involved a car and a van, occurred at Lufnadeffa, Ballysadare at around 12.20pm on Wednesday. The driver of the car, a female in her 80s and the van driver are being treated in hospital with serious injures. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.
