Man Stabbed To Death In Tipperary
A man has died from knife wounds after an incident in a villiage in Tipperary last night.
The male victim, who was in his late 20's, was fatally stabbed in the street outside his house following an altercation. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood the victim man was Irish and was from the area.
Gardai at Tipperary Garda Station said they are investigating the incident, which occurred in the Lattin area at approximately 9.30pm.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post mortem will take place later today. The body is currently at the scene.
A male in his 40’s was arrested a short time later at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Tipperary Garda Station.
It is believed the arrested one man knew the victim and is believed to have been originally from Co Limerick.
The news comes in the shadow of another murder investigation, launched on Friday, into the fatal stabbing of a man in Dublin.
The 24-year-old victim was rushed to nearby Beaumont Hospital after the incident which took place at around 1.30am. The local man was pronounced dead a short time later. Gardai in Coolock are investigating.
It is believed that he was killed during a heated dispute on The Hole In The Wall Road in Donaghmede, directly opposite the entrance to the Grattan Wood apartment complex.
No arrests have yet been made but this morning Gardaí are still investigating.

Appeal Issued For Missing Tipperary Man
Gardaí have appealed for help in tracing missing Tipperary man John Esmonde. The 38-year-old has been missing since around 22:00 on Wednesday 11 March. When last seen he was wearing a dark jacket, blue denim trousers and a black woollen hat. He is believed to have been carrying a brown shopping bag.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Dies After Tipperary Collision
A man has died after being hit by a truck in Co Tipperary. The incident happened on the N7 at Scragg, Carrigatoher, Nenagh shortly after 1pm on Wednesday. The 76-year-old was taken to hospital after the collision, but died later.

Three In Court Following Tipperary Attack
Three of the five men arrested in relation to the shooting and stabbing of two men in Tipperary yesterday are appearing in Roscrea District Court this Thursday morning. The other two men were released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions regarding their detentions.

One Stabbed, One Shot And Five Arrested In Tipperary
Five men have been arrested following an attack on two men in Tipperary. During the attack one man received stab wounds to his back and a second man received a gun shot wound to his leg. One of the men was taken to the Regional Hospital Limerick and the second man to South Tipperary Hospital.
