Four Held Over Doherty Murder

A woman in her 40s is among four people arrested in connection with the murder of Wayne Doherty, Gardaí have revealed today.

Gardai made the arrests this morning in relation to the Murder of Wayne Doherty in July at Hartstown, Dublin 15 last year.

The female aged in her 40s is currently being detained at Lucan Garda Station. One male aged in his 20s at Finglas Garda Station, and two males aged in their late teens at Cabra and Ballyfermot Stations.

They are being detained under the Offences Against the State Act.

Wayne Doherty, a 32-year-old father of two was shot dead on the street outside his parents' house at Oakview Way.

His body was removed to James Connolly Hospital where he died the next morning.

Gardaí believe the fatal shooting may have been linked to a row at a christening party in a pub in Co Meath earlier in the day.

Mr Doherty was killed by a sawn-off shotgun wound to the upper torso.

Further Arrests Over Doherty Case
Gardaí investigating the murder of Wayne Doherty have announced a further two arrests in connection with the case. A woman in her 20s was arrested yesterday and is currently detained under the Offences Against The State Act at Cabra Garda Station.

Two Released In Connection With Death Of Shane Rossiter
Two people have been released after being questioned in relation to the death of Shane Rossiter in Tipperary in October. Gardai detained swvwn people last Monday, and a further three were arrested on Tuesday. A man, 29, was charged with the murder yesterday and remanded in custody. The others have been released without charge.

Arrests Follow Fetherson Murder
A total of four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Kenneth Fetherston whose body was discovered in the Dublin mountains at the beginning of February.
