Waterford Man Missing

An appeal for the public's assistance has been launched after a 45-year-old man went disappeared from his home in Waterford.

Gardai at Tramore are anxious to trace the whereabouts of Nicky Barry who went missing yesterday.

Nicky was last seen leaving New Ross, County Wexford by car, a wine Fiat Punto with the registration number 98 TS 2461. Nicky left yesterday morning at approximately 11.05am.

When last seen he was wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt.

Nicky is described as 5'11', of medium build, with dark hair and a pale complexion.

Anyone with any information about Nicky Barry’s whereabouts is asked to contact Tramore Garda Station on 051-391620, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda station.

Man Arrested Following Cannabis Find
A man has been arrested following the discovery of cannabis plants in the Kilclare area of Carrick-on Shannon. The plants, valued at €240,000, were recovered after a house was searched yesterday afternoon. The 44-year-old man is currently being detained at Manorhamilton garda station.

Hammer Attack Mum 'Critical'
Gardaí said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with a serious assault in which a young mother was beaten with a hammer. They said that a 39-year-old man was arrested after he walked into a Garda station, yesterday morning, and said that he had attacked her.

Gardaí Appeal For Information Over Crashes
After two fatal road collisions in Wicklow and Dublin, Gardaí have launched appeals seeking information in connection with the incidents. Officers at Rathfarnham Garda station want witnesses to an incident on Ballycullen Drive, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, which occurred between 1.30am and 2.30am in the early hours of Thursday morning to contact them.
