Road Crash Tragedies Mounting
Three people have died in separate crashes in Dublin, Donegal and on the M7 in Laois.
A 28-year-old woman has been killed in the road crash in Co Donegal. She was a passenger in a car that struck a wall in Kilmacrennan at 3.45am on Sunday morning.
The man driving the car was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital, but his injuries are not serious.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Milford Garda Station on 074-9153060.
Today, Gardai in Finglas began investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the Rathoath Road between Dunsink Lane and the junction of Cappagh Road, Finglas, Dublin 11.
The collision occurred at approximately 2.10am this morning – 22nd February - and a man in his early 30s was pronounced dead at the scene when the car in which he was the sole occupant apparently went out of control.
There was no one else injured in the incident and the road was closed for a Forensic Collision Examination, but was due to re-open later today.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Finglas Garda station on 01-6667500.
Elsewhere, a woman died after a traffic accident on the M7 at Meelick near Portlaoise.
Four vehicles were involved in the crash at about 12.45am this morning. A number of people travelling in the other vehicles were injured.

Man Dies In Overnight Road Crash
A man has died when his car collided with a van on the Rathbeale road in Swords, Dublin, around 02.30am on Wednesday morning. The man in his 40s was a passenger in the van. He died at the scene. The driver of the van and a second passenger are being treated in hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The man in his 20's was fatally injured when his car collided with a lorry. He was the sole occupant of the car and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
