Evacuation Over Dublin Hotel Blaze
Major traffic disruption spread through Dublin yesterday during a fire at Wynn's Hotel on Dublin's Lower Abbey Street.
Several fire brigade units were dispatched to the scene and Luas Red Line services were stopped between Smithfield and Connolly station. The service continued running between Smithfield and Tallaght.
The hotel was evacuated while fire crews tackled the blaze, which was eventually extinguished.
A Garda spokesman said the fire started in the hotel's laundry room, but that it was "too early to speculate on the cause".
All Luas services have now resumed.
