Two Killed In Co Laois Collision
Two men have died in Laois after a car collision this morning.
Gardaí said they are currently at the scene of the fatal road traffic collision on the N7 between The Pike of Rushhall and Castletown Co Laois. The collision involving the two cars occurred shortly after 7.30am this morning.
The Two men were aged in their late 20s and early 30s and were pronounced dead at the scene. A middle-aged woman who was also involved in the collision has been taken by Ambulance to Portlaoise General Hospital.
Forensic collision investigators have been notified and traffic diversions are in place from Borris in Ossary and Portlaoise via Durrow and Abbeyleix adding 30-40 minutes onto the journey. According to AA Roadwatch, the road is likely to stay closed until midday.

A man has died in a road crash in Co Laois. The 22-year-old male's car collided with a wall at Kilmullen near Portarlington, at around 3.50 am on Monday, 07 August. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.

According to gardaí, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was reopened on Friday morning following a technical examination.

M7 Reopens After Pileup
The M7 between Dublin and Limerick has reopened on Thursday afternoon after a pileup involving some 17 vehicles occurred during the morning rush. All lanes of the road southbound reopened at 12.15pm near Portlaoise, after the removal of three crashed trucks and a number of other crashed vehicles, which occurred at 8.15am approx.

Two Dead In Separate Collisions
Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.
