Protesters Battle With Police At The Gates Of The Irish Parliament
Protesters battled with police as they tried to break through the gates of the Irish parliament during a march to inject billions of euros into Irish banks.
Many people broke away from the march, organised by the Right to Work campaign, and darted towards Leinster House on Tuesday evening.
Police used batons to control the crowd and the disturbance was settled within minutes.
One man is believed to have suffered a head injury and a police officer was also hurt in the face.
No arrests were made.

European And Local Elections To Be Held On 23 May
Phil Hogan TD, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, has announced that the Government has agreed that the European Parliament and Local Elections will be held on Friday 23 May 2014. Polling will be between the hours of 7am and 10pm on that day.

The newly branded Ireland Police Rugby team will take on a British Police Select Team at Newforge in Belfast later today. The Ireland Police Rugby Team is a combination of members of An Garda Síochána and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
