50 New Jobs For Leitrim Plant
Mirror Controls International, a dutch company which manufactures mirrors for cars and trucks, is to create 50 jobs at its plant in Leitrim.
The company is moving its European manufacturing business to its plant in Manorhamilton as part of an expansion programme.
The investment is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.
The Minister for Enterprise for Trade and Innovation, Batt O'Keefe said the move demonstrates the viability of the country's manufacturing sector and consolidates its reputation as an attractive location in Europe for high-quality overseas manufacturing.

Temperatures To Reach 19 Degrees This Weekend
Temperatures are expected to reach 19 degrees in places this Saturday, 22 April, with good sunny spells expected across most of the weekend. According to Met Éireann, Friday will also see highs of 18 degrees in places towards the east of the country. While there will be light breezes all weekend, there will also be sunny spells throughout.

Dublin Water Restrictions To Continue Until 4 Nov
Water restrictions imposed in Dublin last night are expected to continue until Monday 4 November. The restrictions, which cause low pressure and loss of supply, will be in place each evening from 8pm until 7am. It is understood that the restrictions are the result of problems at Dublin's biggest water treatment plant, Ballymore Eustace.

250 New Jobs For Co Galway
Two hundred and fifty new jobs are to be created in Co Galway by medical devices manufacturer, Zimmer. The company will create the jobs over the next five years as part of an expansion, with a new €51m facility in Oranmore.

New Co Roscommon Water Treatment Plant Complete
A new "interim" water treatment plant has been completed in Castlerea, Co Roscommon, which could see more than 6,000 households have their boil-water notices lifted. The plant is one of a number of 'capitol projects' being carried out by the company across Ireland, and includes drainage schemes, water main replacements and upgrades.

CRH To Cut 55 Posts
Building materials firm CRH is to axe 55 jobs at its Irish Cement plant in Limerick. The company said the restructuring follows five years of decline in the Irish construction industry, with activity down 80 per cent from a peak in 2007. It is believed the plan will be discussed with employees and unions over the coming days.
