Man Held In Connection With 'Tiger Robbery'
A male in his 20s has been arrested in Tallaght in connection with a so-called 'tiger kidnapping' incident in Dublin last month.
Gardai investigating the false imprisonment and abduction of a bank official on the June 22 made the arrest this morning in relation to the incident.
He is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
At the time of the incident, Gardaí described the robbery as a "traumatic", involving the false imprisonment and abduction of a male bank official and another man from a house in Deerpark, Kiltipper area in Tallaght.
According to Gardaí, at approximately three armed men entered the victim's home and demanded the bank official obtain a sum of money from the bank and await instructions.
It is believed at least two of the men were armed with handguns or short arms. The three men then took the second male away from the house in Deerpark.
According to reports at the time, the bank official operating under duress went to the AIB bank as instructed and on to a specified location where he handed over a of €200,000 to the gang. Shortly after 1.30pm the second man was released and sought assistance from the Gardaí in Coolock.
The following evening, the Organised Crime Unit in conjunction with the investigation team from Tallaght Garda Station supported by the Emergency Response Unit stopped a car in an apartment block off the River Road Finglas late and arrested 2 men. A sum of money was also recovered.

Man Due In Court Over Tiger Kidnapping
A 23-year-old man is due to appear in Tallaght District Court at 10.30am tomorrow to be charged in connection with the a tiger kidnapping incident that occurred last week. Shortly after the kidnapping and robbery on Tuesday last, investigating Gardaí carried out an intelligence led operation, which resulted in the arrest of three people.
