Fresh Appeal Launched On Fairview Shooting
A new appeal has been launched over the Fairview shooting that led to the shooting of a doorman and two patrons at a Dublin pub.
Gardai at Clontarf investigating the shooting incident at Fairview Strand, Dublin said this morning they are renewing their appeal for information after a beige or gold coloured VW Golf bearing false registration plates of 05D57078 was spotted at the scene.
A Gardaí spokesman said the car was seen in the Fairview area at approximately 12.30am on July 26 and a short time later at Verschoyle Court, Dublin 2.
Gardai are appealing to members of the public to report any sightings of this vehicle, which is thought to have travelled through the Fairview, North Strand, Amiens Street, and South inner city areas during the early hours of Monday 26th July 2010 last.
The three men are still recovering in hospital after the shooting incident at the Players Lounge pub in Fairview in Dublin.
During the incident, a man armed with two guns approached a group standing outside the pub at around 12.30am and fired a number of shots.
The person believed to be the target of the attack, a doorman, ran into the pub and the gunman chased him inside. The man was shot in head while two other customers who were inside the pub also suffered injuries.
The doorman, who is in his 30s, is currently in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital while the second man, in his 20s, was taken to the Mater Hospital where his condition is also described as critical. A third man in his 30s is in a serious condition at the Mater Hospital.
An incident room has been set up at Clontarf Garda station and anyone with information is asked to contact Clontarf Garda station or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.

Man Injured In Dublin Pub Shooting
A man is being treated in hospital following a shooting incident at a Dublin pub. A man was shot and injured at a pub in Sallynoggin at about 1am on Monday morning. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. He is being treated at St Vincent's University Hospital. Garda are investigating the shooting but say no arrests have yet been made.
