Three Arrested Over Dunne Shooting
Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of Eamon Dunne in April of this year, said this morning they have arrested three individuals in connection with the case.
Officers at the Fassaugh House, Cabra said they made the arrests this morning following a search and arrest operation in Dublin City Centre, Blanchardstown and Bettystown Co Meath.
One man was arrested in Blanchardstown while the other man and woman were arrested in Dublin City Centre. They are all in their late 20s.
During the course of the operation two handguns were seized along with a quantity of Cocaine estimated street value €70,000, subject to analysis.
The two men are being detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 and the female is detained under Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939.
All three are being detained in various city centre Garda Stations.
Eamon Dunne, a notorious gang leader, was murdered at the Fassaugh House in Cabra on April 24.
It is believed the murder was carried out by a rival gang as Dunne celebrated a friend's 40th birthday.

The Special Criminal Court has heard that the victim of an IRA hitman was never involved in any criminal or subversive activity and was "totally blameless" and "wholly innocent." The comments were made as 50-year-old Rose Lynch was jailed for life for the murder of David Darcy in November 2011.
