Pedestrian Killed In Kildare
A man has died in County Kildare after being struck by a car while walking.
The male pedestrian (no age or approximate age) was fatally injured when he was struck shortly before 7am on Wednesday morning at Kileighter Cross in County Kildare.
Gardaí at Leixlip said they are investigating fatal collision and that the N4 between Enfield and Kilcock is closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation.
The body of the deceased remains at scene.
Meanwhile, Gardaí at Tallaght are investigating a serious injury caused during a road traffic collision that occurred on Thursday February 3, and are appealing to the public for assistance.
The collision happened at approximately 8.30pm on Killinarden Heights (at the junction of Donomore Avenue), Tallaght, Dublin 24.
It involved a motorcycle and a van. The motorcycle had two males on board, both of whom received serious head and leg injuries. They are aged 19 and 14 years and remain hospitalised at Tallaght and Beaumont.
Their injuries are not life threatening. The driver of the van was uninjured.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have information to offer in relation to it are asked to contact Gardaí at Tallaght on 01 6666000.

Two Dead In Separate Collisions
Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

Gardaí at Bundoran are investigating the first collision that occurred on Main Street Bundoran at approximately 12.10am in the early hours of Tuesday morning. In the incident an 18-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was struck by an articulated lorry.

A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Garda are investigating the circumstances surrounding four girls ending up in hospital after an aerosol exploded in a house in Drogheda on Sunday. The girls are being treated in hospital, two in Crumlin's children's hospital and two in Tallaght, following the incident. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
