Murder Investigation Launched In Limerick
Gardaí in Limerick are investigating the discovery of the body of a 71-year-old man in a house at St Munchin’s Street, St Mary's Park, Limerick City on Tuesday.
The deceased man has been named as James Boyce and results of the Post Mortem, carried out at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick have been supplied to investigating Gardaí but are not being released for operational reasons.
However, this is now a murder enquiry and anyone who may have seen Mr Boyce between the early hours of Saturday morning and late yesterday evening, or who have may information in relation to this incident is asked to contact the Garda.
The incident room at Mayorstone Garda Station is on 61-456989, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
Gardaí will hold a Press Briefing at Mayorstone Garda Station at 8pm on Wednesday evening.

Teenager Fatally Stabbed In Limerick
A 17-year-old has been stabbed to death in Co Limerick in the early hours of this morning. Gardaí at Mayorstone Park are investigating the incident that occurred outside a house on Creaval Park, Moyross, Co. Limerick. Officers found the 17-year-old lying at the front of the house with a stab wound to his stomach.

Two Men Arrested Over Murder Of Limerick Teenager
Gardaí have arrested two men in connection with the 2007 murder of a teenager from Limerick. Jeffrey Hannon, 19, from O'Malley Park, was beaten to death with the handle of an axe and his body was left in a field beside his parents' home on 22 November. Gardaí raided two properties on Tuesday and arrested two men.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries in Limerick City. It is understood that a number of burglaries where reported in the Athlunkard Street area of the city between 07:50 and 08:15 on the morning on Monday 25 January. Gardaí responded to reports and arrested the man close to the scene.

A man is under arrest over the discovery of suspected cannabis worth an estimated €100,000 in Sligo. Gardaí uncovered the drugs, along with a sum of cash, during a search of a property in Ballymote on Thursday evening, 16 January. A male in his 30s was arrested and remains in custody at Ballymote Garda Station.
