Fisherman's Body Identified

The body of a fisherman, found off the south Co Wexford coast, has been identified.

John Ennis went missing 31 days ago after the boat he was in sank 45 metres from shore between Duncannon and Arthurstown.

This morning, Mr Ennis' body was recovered by members of the Carrick-on-Suir River Rescue team and local fishermen, who had been searching since the tragedy took place on 18 February.

A post mortem is due to take place tomorrow.

Man Dies After Being Struck By Luas
A man has died after he was hit by a Luas tram in Dublin. The collision took place shortly before midnight on Monday 11 March at the Kingswood area in south-west Dublin. Gardaí confirmed this morning, Tuesday 12, that the man was knocked down and killed.

Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

Childs Body Found At A House In Cork
Gardai are investigating the death of an eight-year-old boy on Cork today. The childs body was discovered after Gardai were called to an incident at Harrison Place, Charleville, at around 9.30am. The house has been cordoned off pending a full technical examination. Gardai are waiting for the results of the post-mortem examination.
