Major Dublin Housing Project Approved

Plans for a major housing scheme in Dublin have been approved by Dublin City Council.

The development will comprise eight residential buildings ranging in height from three to five-storeys over basement car parking and accommodating 184 dwellings.

According to the website www.unearthore.com the detail plans were approved by Dublin City Council to Viera Limited on Thursday, October 21, 2010 for the construction of a residential development: at Lot 1, Mount Argus, Harold's Cross, Dublin 6w, although several third party appeals were submitted against the decision to An Bord Pleanala on November 17, 2010.

An Bord Pleanala considered this appeal and granted permission with revised conditions on April 1, 2011.

Proposed Sligo Road Schemes In Focus

€6.25m Investment To Create 3,600 New Childcare Places
The Government has today confirmed the creation of 3,600 new childcare places as part of a €6.25 million investment. The Capital funding is expected to create new places for children up to age three as well as those at school age. Payments For Pig And Dairy Farmers Issued
Payments for pig and dairy farmers have now been issued. The payments are the final tranche under the package agreed at EU level in September last year which allocated €13.7 million for Ireland. The Government subsequently matched the funding to provide an overall aid package of €27.4m.
