Man Arrested Over Rathmines Robbery
Gardai from Rathmines have arrested a man in his early 30’s following a robbery at a post office in Dublin.
At approximately 1.30pm yesterday, a lone male entered the premises at Upper Rathmines Road, Dublin 6. He was wearing a cap and sunglasses and was armed with what appeared to be a firearm. He threatened staff and made his escape with a sum of money. He got into a taxi at a rank across the road and threatened the driver forcing him to drive.
Gardai responding to the call observed the taxi and stopped it at Leicester Avenue a short time later.
The man will appear at The Courts of Criminal Justice today charged in connection with the robbery.

Gardaí have launched an investigation into an armed robbery in south Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning. It is understood a businessman was lodging cash at a bank deposit box at about 4:45am on Terenure Road East in Rathgar, when he was approached by a man, dressed in women's clothing, and carrying what appeared to be a handgun.

Two Men Arrested Following Attempted Robbery
Two men in their 30s have been arrested following an attempted robbery at a shop in Dublin on Thursday. Two masked men entered the shop on the Lower Rathmines Road at around 6.20pm. One was armed with a screwdriver and they demanded cash from the shop assistant. A struggle took place and the two men fled empty handed.

67-Year-Old Man Arrested Over Rathmines Body Discovery
A 67-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a man's body in Rathmines, Dublin. Gardaí were called to a house at about 11:30pm in Summerville Park on Monday, 23 May. Upon arrival, garda discovered the body of an unresponsive male. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
