Men Face Court In Limerick Over Threats

Two men, arrested yesterday for an alleged incident of threatening people, are to appear in court today.

The men were arrested at Roxboro Road, in Co. Limerick in connection with the incident reported late last year.

The men, aged in their 20s and 30s, will appear at Limerick District Court charged in relation to the incident.

Gang Attack Three Elderly Siblings
Three elderly siblings have been attacked by a gang with a sword and knives in Co Limerick last night. They are currently being treated in hospital after receiving serious injuries to their head and limbs. Two masked men entered the pensioners' home in Ballyluddy and assaulted the three pensioners.

Man Arrested In Connection With Stabbing Incident In Co Limerick
A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in Kilmallock, Co Limerick. It is understood that gardaí were called to reports of an incident at a bar on Wolfe Tone Street at about 8pm on Sunday night. Upon arriving at the scene, gardaí discovered three men had sustained stab wounds.

Three Men Charged With False Imprisonment And Assault
Three men have been charged in connection with the assault and false imprisonment of a 53-year-old man in Limerick City in September 2015. The men, aged 32, 33 and 52, were arrested by garda on Wednesday in connection with the incident on 14 September last year.

Men In Court Over Cannabis Seizure
Two men are due in court in Northern Ireland after gardaí and the PSNI intercepted a cross-border drug smuggling operation over the weekend. Cannabis worth more than €550,000 and a large amount of cash were recovered in the operation. One man was arrested in Co Monaghan, while two men were detained in Ballymena in Co Antrim.

Human Remains Confirmed As Missing Limerick Woman
Human remains found in Galway Bay on 29 November have been confirmed as those of missing Limerick woman, Maria Hennigar. The 35-year-old was reported missing on 22 November, although she had not been seen earlier that month.
