Garda Search For Missing Ennis Woman
Gardai in County Clare are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a 48-year-old woman.
Evelyn Vaughan has been missing from Shannon Park in Ennis since Tuesday morning.
She is described as being 5’ 2’’ with short blonde hair. She is believed to be wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, red shoes and glasses. Her family are very concerned for her welfare.
Anyone who has seen Evelyn or who can assist in locating her is asked to contact Ennis Garda Station.

Second Arrest Made Over Ennis Shooting
A second man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old father of two in Limerick early yesterday morning. Gardai investigating the shooting, which occurred on the Ennis Road outside Limerick said this morning they had made a second arrest, this time of a male in his late 20’s.

Woman's Body Discovered In Ennis
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in Ennis early today, Tuesday 04 February. The body was found at about 6am this morning by a passer-by on a walkway alongside the River Fergus. It is understood that garda do not believe the woman's death to be suspicious "at this stage".

Hunt For Woman Missing In Meath
A hunt has been launched to find a woman missing from her home in Meath. Margaret Mawhinney, 53, has gone missing from her home at Trim Road in Navan, Co. Meath. She is originally from Co Armagh. A spoesman for Gardaí said Margaret's family are very concerned for her safety.

€6.5m To Be Spent On New Off-Road Cycle Route
A total of €6.5m is to be spent on the development of three new off-road cycling routes in Co Kerry, Galway and Waterford. The development will see the former Great Southern Railway line on the Ring of Kerry converted into a 26km cycleway between Glenbeigh and Renard.

Emergency Departments At Two More Hospitals To Close
24-hour emergency departments are to be closed at two more hospitals as part of a major restructuring to the States hospital services. According to the Irish Independent, the emergency departments at St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown, Dublin and Navan Hospital in Co Meath will close, to be replaced by local injury units.
