Garda Investigate Attempted Abduction
Gardai in Kildare are investigating the attempted abduction of a security company employee, his wife and their 2 year old son.
The incident took place this morning at 5am in Kilmeade, near Athy, Co.Kildare.
Four armed and masked men attempted to take the family hostage, as the employee, who is in his 30s, left for work. A panic alarm was activated and the raiders fled the scene on foot leaving behind a white van at the scene.
It is believed they may have been picked up by a car nearby.
Gardai would like to speak with anyone in the Kilmeade area of Co. Kildare who has information or anyone who was traveling on the N78 between Kilcullen and Athy, in the early hours of this morning. Gardai are also appealing for anyone who may have seen any activity in the Kilmeade area in the last number of days to contact them.

Man Injured During Attack

Dublin Teenager Found 'Safe And Well'
A teenager who went missing from Dublin has been found "safe and well". Sean Costello, 15, went missing from Ballymun just after midnight on Sunday, 31 July. Gardai launched an appeal as they were concerned for his welfare. However, they have confirmed he has been found "safe and well". Gardai also thanked the public for their assistance.

Missing Teenager From England Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing teenager from England has been found "safe and well", according to Gardai. Ricky Wall, 15, originally from Crumlin, had been missing from Suffolk from 11 April. However, Gardai said today, 04 May, they had located Ricky. Gardai also thanked the public for their existence.

A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the bodies of two elderly brothers at their home in Castlebar on Wednesday. A home-help for the brothers alerted gardai at around 07:00 after she arrived at their home and found their bodies.

Garda Arrest Man For Possessing Firearms
A man in his 20's has been arrested after firearms were found at a house in Darndale, Coolock. As part of a planned operation Gardai searched a house at Tulip Court on Thursday at around 17.15. Three firearms and a small amount of cannabis was discovered.
