Retirement Village In Offaly Gets Green Light

Planners have passed a proposal to build a retirement village in Offaly.

The controversial plans involved the re-zoning of land located outside of Edenderry in Co Offaly.

Despite opposition from the County Manager and the Department of the Environment, fifteen Offaly County Councillors backed the material contravention.

Six public representatives voted against the move.

The proposed development also includes a retail element.
