Gardai Make Arrests Over Missing Man

Gardai in Tuam investigating the disappearance of 30-year-old Juris Buls have arrested a male and a female in Glenamaddy, County Galway.

Both, aged in their 30s, are being detained in Tuam Garda Station.

Juris Buls has been missing from his home since early July.

Mr Buls, a Latvian national, was last seen at his home in Glenamaddy at 10.45pm on Thursday 7th July 2011. He was due to attend work at Titan Plastics at 12 midnight, but failed to turn up.

There has been no contact from Mr. Buls since. Gardai have serious concerns for his welfare and are appealing for anyone who may have seen unusual or suspicious activity around his house on Ballymore Rd, Glenamaddy in or around 10.45pm on Thursday the 7th July 2011 to contact them in Tuam.

Any sighting of Mr. Buls’ car, a black Audi A4, should also be reported.

Mr. Buls is described as 5 feet 7 inches in height, with short blonde hair and blue eyes, and is of light build. He may have been wearing a blue heavy lined work jacket, with the inscription, ‘Titan’, in white writing on the front left lapel, and the word ‘Kingspan’ on the back.

Anyone with information concerning his disappearance should contact the incident room at Tuam Garda Station.

July Figures Show Increase In Homelessness
Recent figures from the Department of Housing have shown an increase in the amount of people requiring emergency accommodation across the country. A total of 10,275 individuals were without a home in July, including 6,497 adults, 1,721 families and 3,778 dependants. This represents an increase of 103 when compared to the previous month.

Appeal Issued For Man Missing Since 13 July
Gardaí have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Zilvinas Duda, who is missing from Dublin. The 31-year-old has been missing from the Ongar area of Dublin 15 since Saturday 13 July. It is understood that Mr Duda's car, a Grey Audi A3 Hatchback, was found on the Staleen Road in Donore in County Meath on the same day.
