Meanwhil, also in the North, a pipe bomb was discovered on Saturday close to Annalcoy, Co Down with local people forced to leave their homes after a suspicious object was found.

British Army bomb experts carried out a controlled explosion and confirmed it was a pipe bomb.

Also over the weekend, detectives in Co Antrim are appealing for information after a suspicious object was found at the Blackstown Road, Crumlin area on Friday, shortly after 8.10pm.
