Cyclist Killed In Monaghan
Gardai in Carrickmacross are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving a cyclist and a vehicle on Tuesday. At approximately 10.15am, on the N2 Carrickmacross to Castleblaney Road,
a 23-year-old male cyclist was fatally injured when he was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses who travelled this stretch of road between 10pm and 10.30pm or to any one that can assist in this investigation to contact Carrickmacross Garda Station.

Fatal Road Crash At Blackrock
Gardai at Blackrock are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Frasctai Road, Blackrock, Co Dublin at approximately 8.40am this morning. The incident occurred when a female cyclist, believed to be in her mid 20s, was hit by a truck. She was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

A teenager has died in hospital from injuries he sustained in a collision on Sunday, 21 August. The 13-year-old cyclist collided with a car on the main Drogheda to Slane Road at about 8.30pm on Sunday evening. He was being treated at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda however he died from his injuries on Tuesday night, 23 August.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.
