UVF Court Case Enters Second Day
The second day of the North's biggest trial since the mid-1980s, when the original supergrass system collapsed, is now underway.
Heavy security again surrounds the proceedings at Laganside Court in Belfast, amid tensions over the use of the evidence of accomplices.
One of the two brothers, David Stewart, who have turned terrorist 'Queen's Evidence' is expected to be giving evidence against former loyalist comrades later today.
He is testifying against 14 alleged Ulster Volunteer Force members, including the man said to be a former RUC Special Branch agent Mark Haddock.
Stewart's brother, 37-year-old Robert Stewart, began his evidence on Tuesday against their alleged former friends and UVF associates from the terror group's notorious Mount Vernon unit in north Belfast.
Both escaped life sentences for their part in the murder of rival loyalist Tommy English because they have agreed to give evidence.
The Stewart brothers confessed to their roles in the murder of the UDA boss at his Newtownabbey home, during a loyalist feud in 2000.
Robert Stewart will first continue to give evidence but may also be cross-examined by defence lawyers.
Yesterday, he had already alleged Haddock ordered the tit-for-tat killing.

Kidney Mistake Result Of 'Human Error'
"Human Error" has been given as the reason for a mistake, which led to the wrong kidney being removed from an eight-year-old boy in 2008. Giving evidence today at a Medical Council inquiry, consultant surgeon Professor Martin Corbally said he had written down the wrong kidney in his notes for the operation.

A high profile murder trial in the North has heard that the accused, Hazel Stewart, feared her former lover - a dentist - gave her too much laughing gas before a sex session on his dentist's chair. Mrs Stewart, 47, is denying murdering her husband, Trevor Buchanan, 32, and her former lover Colin Howell's wife, Leslie, 31, in May 1991.

The inquest into the death of Savita Halappanavar has heard from the midwife manager on St Monica's Ward at Galway University Hospital, Ann Maria Burke, who confirmed that she did say a termination could not be carried out because Ireland was a "Catholic country".

Howell Inquest To 'Set Record Straight'
The first phase of a new inquest into the deaths of Lesley Howell and Trevor Buchanan is now underway in the North. It aims to set the record straight after their respective partners were jailed for their murders, with a coroner's court hearing in Belfast told today that a second hearing will take place before the end of next month.
