Armed Post Office Robbery Thwarted In Arklow
A man has been arrested after a bungled post office robbery in Arklow.
Gardai in the town say they are investigating the attempted armed robbery, which took place on the Tuesday.
The attempted robbery occurred at approximately 2.10pm on when a male entered the Post office and produced what is believed to be a firearm.
He left the Post office with nothing.
No one was injured in the incident. He fled the scene in a blue coloured car.
At approx 8.40pm, a have arrested a 25-year-old male was arrested in connection with the incident close to Ashford, County Wicklow.
He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Wicklow Garda Station.

Woman Arrested Over Kerry Post Office Raid
A woman has been arrested in connection with an armed raid at a post office in Co Kerry. The suspect was arrested at around 5.30pm in Killarney on Thursday, 04 August. A sum of cash was stolen from Waterville Post Office at around 11am on Wednesday, 03 August. Two men were arrested in the area after the incident.

Two Men Arrested After Wexford Post Office Robbery
Two men in their 20's have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a post office in County Wexford. The incident took place in Bridgetown at around 10.30am on Monday 04 February. Two men, both wearing high vis clothing and motorcycle helmets, entered the premises carrying a knife and an iron bar.
