Arrest Made Over Nursing Home Death
A 46 year old man has been arrested following the death of a woman at a nursing home in Waterford.
The victim, named locally as Vera Vollrath, was found dead in the early hours of Monday morning in Killure Bridge nursing home.
Gardaí have launched a murder investigation, and the man is being questioned under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
A postmortem was being carried out last night to establish the cause of her death.

HSE Temporarily Suspend Nursing Home Scheme Placements
Access to the Fair Deal nursing home scheme from the normal placement list has been suspended to allow hospital patients priority access, the Health Service Executive (HSE) has announced. The director general designate has approved the "exceptional measure" for a period of two to three weeks.
