No Second Bailout Needed - Kenny
Taoiseach Enda Kenny announced Ireland will not need a second bailout from the European Union (EU) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Speaking during a visit to London, the Taoiseach insisted Ireland was beginning to see "positive results" from the austerity programme during the financial crisis.
However, Mr Kenny acknowledged that "we are not yet at a point where market confidence in the euro has been restored".
He said: "We want to be the first country to emerge from a bailout program. We need to stick to our commitments, need to renegotiate where appropriate and need the continued support from EU colleagues.
"It is time for clarity and leadership."
Mr Kenny has arranged to meet with Prime Minister David Cameron at Downing Street later this evening.
