Young Man Killed In Roscommon Crash
A man has died after a single vehicle crash in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Gardai in Roscommon said they are investigating the circumstances of the single vehicle fatal road collision that occurred at approximately 3.15am on the Roscommon to Castlecoote Road (R366), some 2.5 miles outside Roscommon town. The sole occupant of the car a male in his mid 20s was pronounced dead at the scene and has been removed to the morgue at Roscommon Hospital.
The road is closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact the Gardai in Roscommon on 090 6638300, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Second Arrest Made Over Ennis Shooting
A second man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old father of two in Limerick early yesterday morning. Gardai investigating the shooting, which occurred on the Ennis Road outside Limerick said this morning they had made a second arrest, this time of a male in his late 20’s.

Gardaí Drug Bust Scoops €5m
A Gardaí operation in Dublin has turned up a major drug find resulting in arrests and the seizure of a heroin stash worth almost €5 million. According to a Gardaí spokesman, an ongoing operation targeting illegal drug activity in the South Dublin area led officers from the National Support Services to stop a van in the Templeogue area.
