Drop In Irish Property Value
Residential property prices fell by 16.7% in the year to December, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO) Ireland.
This compares with an annual rate of decline of 15.6% in November and a decline of 10.5% recorded in the year to December 2010.
In Dublin residential property prices dropped by 2.4% in December and were 19.3% lower than a year ago. Dublin house prices decreased by 3.0% in the month and were 19.9% lower compared to a year earlier.
The price of residential properties in the rest of Ireland, excluding Dublin, fell by 1.1% in December compared with a decline of 0.5% in the same month last year.
Prices were 15.1% lower than in December 2010.

This compares with an increase of 0.9% recorded in September and a decline of 2.2% recorded in October of last year. In Dublin residential property prices fell by 0.2% in October and were 7.1% lower than a year ago.

House Prices Drop 15%
Ireland's house prices have fallen by 15.6% for the year to November, according to statistics from the Government. The Residential Property Prices report by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) found that the fall was deepening with the fall of 15.6% comparing to an annual rate of decline of 15.1% in October and a decline of 11.

There has also been a 12% increase in the year to February, and a 9.7% increase in the 12 months to February 2017. The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) have revealed a 10.7% increase in residential property prices across Ireland. The figures show that in Dublin residential property prices increased by 8.3% in the year to February, Dublin house prices rose 8.1% and apartments increased 9.1% in the same period.
