Two Arrests Over Murder of John Kenny
It has emerged that two men have been arrested in connection with an investigation into the murder of John Kenny.
The arrests were made on Thursday February 2, in Cork City with the assistance of local Gardaí and the Regional Support Unit. Both men were taken to Millstreet Garda Station where they were charged in relation to the murder.
They are aged 17 and 36 years and will appear before a special sitting of Galway District Court Friday morning at 10.30am.
Some seven arrests had previously been made in relation to the investigation.
A Post Mortem Examination carried out on the deceased man, 56 year old John Kenny which showed he died as a result of an assault.
His body was discovered at a premises in Oughterard.

Over 100 Arrests Made In Organised Crime Sweep
113 people have been arrested as part of an operation targeting organised crime. Gardaí carried out some 236 planned searches across the country in relation to the investigation. Around 4,200 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €3.5 million were seized at five grow houses in counties Cork, Meath, Wexford and Dublin yesterday.

Arrests Made In 11 Year Old Murder Investigation
Gardai investigating the 2002 murder of David McCreevey have arrested two men. Detectives from Tallaght Garda Station and members of the Special Detective Unit arrested the two men, both in their 30s, during an operation this morning (Monday). They are currently being held under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.

Three arrests have been made following an investigation into the murder of Seamus McMahon. Two males, in their 20s, and one female in her late teems were arrested in the Drogheda area this morning. They are currently being detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Drogheda and Dundalk stations.
