Killer Gets Life For Severely Beating Irish Woman

A man has been jailed for life for killing Irish woman Siobhan Kelly who lay dead in her London flat undiscovered for three weeks after he beat her to death.

Stephen Foad, 42, denied murdering Miss Kelly, but three days into the trial he changed his plea.

He was given a minimum term of 13 years.

Police forced their way into the property on Tudor Road, Gipsy Hill, on 7 February last year.

They found her decomposing body wrapped in a duvet on the bed and blood spatter marks in the living room and bedroom.

Prosecutor Duncan Atkinson said she has been attacked at different times in both rooms.

She was last seen alive on 15 January and heavy drinker Foad, with whom she had a casual relationship, was the last person to see her.

Palm prints in blood and bloody boot prints were matched to Foad.
