Murder Inquiry After Kilkenny Stabbing
A 21-year-old man has died after being stabbed during a knife attack in Kilkenny in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the emergency services were called to an apartment at 1.30am at Larchfield Court.
They discovered two men suffering from stab wounds, both of which were taken to St Luke’s hospital where one of them died a short time later.
The second man, aged 27, remains in hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A third man, 35, who was also in the apartment when gardaí arrived was arrested and taken to Kilkenny Garda station where he was detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Kilkenny Garda station.

A man in his mid 70's has died following a two-vehicle crash in Kilkenny. A 62-year-old man died when the car he was a passenger in left the road on the M50 at about 12:45am between Junction 10 Ballymount and Junction 11 Tallaght. The 60-year-old female driver is in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital.
