Students Aim To Raise €10 000 For charity
Dublin City University Students' Union is aiming to raise €10 000 this week as part of its annual Raise and Give fundraising drive.
DCUSU Raise and Give, which encourages student participation in fundraising, volunteering and local community projects recreating an old-fashioned, community fair atmosphere on campus. Proceeds will be donated to designated Raise and Give charities which include Bees for Battens and The DCU Hardship Fund.
There are various fundraising events taking place see www.greatcraic.ie for more information.

Gardaí Seize €200,000 Of Heroin In Ballyfermot
Gardaí have arrested a man following a drugs bust on a home in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin. According to a Gardaí spokesman, the seizure was a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in West Dublin.

Mahon Tribunal Hears Of £IR24,000 Payment To Lawler
The former developer of Blanchardstown shopping centre has told the Mahon Tribunal he made payments to the late Liam Lawlor as a planning consultant. John Corcoran, Managing Director of Green Property, said he gave Mr Lawlor two payments totalling nearly £IR24,000 between 1988 and 1991.
