Man Charged Over Murdered Pensioner

A 29-year-old man has been charged with the murder of pensioner Edward Boylan in Dublin in January this year.

Mr Boylan, 74, was attacked and stabbed at his home in Ravensdale Close, Kimmage.

Fire fighters were called to a blaze at his home when his body was discovered.

The suspect is being detained at Crumlin Garda Station.

Man Seriously Injured In Road Accident
A pensioner remains in a serious condition in hospital after he was hit by a vehicle in Waterford City yesterday. The 81-year-old man was struck by a 4a4 vehicle on the Cork Road at approximately 2.30pm. He is believed to be in a serious condition in Waterford Regional Hospital. Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Appeal Issued For Dublin Teenager Craig Boylan
Gardaí have issued appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of 17-year-old Craig Boylan. The teenager has been missing from his home in Dublin since Sunday, 18 February. He is described as being 5'10" tall, of medium build with short red hair.
