Man Found Guilty Of Lukasz Rzeszutko Murder
A 20-year-old man has been found guilty of the murder of Lukasz Rzeszutko as he walked to work at a fish factory in Dublin in 2010.
The 27-year-old Polish man was found unconscious outside his workplace in the Newtown Industrial Estate in Coolock on 2 October 2010.
He had multiple skull fractures with severe brain injury, and brain matter was protruding from his nostrils. He died in hospital two days later.
The accused was named as Martin Morgan, of Tonlegee Road, Raheny. He entered a plea of not guilty to murdering the young man, but guilty to his manslaughter.
However, the Director of Public Prosecutions did not accept this plea and Morgan went on trial at the Central Criminal Court charged with murder.
He has been found guilty of murder, which carries a mandatory life sentence, but Mr Justice Barry White has deferred sentencing to allow for a victim impact statement from the victim's family in Poland.
Two other Dublin men were also charged with murdering Mr Rzeszutko and entered the same pleas as Morgan.
Stephen Byrne, 18, and Morgan's cousin, Edward Byrne, 21, had their pleas to manslaughter accepted by the DPP.
