Prison Escapee Sentenced To Four Months
A prisoner who escaped from jail 8 months into an eight year sentence over the death of a Garda officer has been sentenced to 4 months.
Martin McDermott escaped from the low-security prison in Blacklion, County Cavan on 15 March, PSNI officers in Derry/Londonderry recaptured him the next day.
He was today sentenced to four months after pleading guilty to three charges of assaulting police officers, one charge of resisting arrest and causing criminal damage to a set of handcuffs. charges of.
