Irish And Multinational Businesses Say Yes To Stability Treaty
Fine Gael Dublin Central TD, Paschal Donohoe, has today said that both Irish and multinational businesses based here are giving a resounding Yes to the Stability Treaty. Deputy Donohoe was speaking after 250 new jobs were announced for Dublin and Galway, and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce announced its support for the Treaty.
"Today's endorsements from SAP and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce reinforce the message that a Yes vote will help to build a working Ireland. SAP, and the many other multinationals who have announced thousands of new jobs in recent months, have chosen to grow their operations here because they see Ireland as a stable economic environment.
"If we want to continue to bring back jobs and growth, we need to sustain the right conditions. A Yes vote will provide the certainty we need to protect the jobs we have and create the jobs we need. By voting Yes we will foster stability, letting businesses know that Ireland is a safe bet.
"Ireland has made some considerable progress over the last 14 months in stabilising our economy, but we have a long way to go. By voting Yes we can keep our recovery on track. This in turn will add to the growing confidence in Ireland, which is so crucial in attracting job creating investors here."
